Event description

The relentless parade of new technologies is unfolding on many fronts. Not every emerging technology will alter the business or social landscape—but some have the potential to disrupt the status quo, alter the way people live and work, and affect agricultural value chains. For many reasons, different industries may be affected differently. UWA is working hard to maximise cross-disciplinary approaches so that each industry has the opportunity to understand which technologies may matter to them and prepare accordingly.

This evening will examine possible disruptive technologies that could affect future food production. Insights from agricultural economics, physics and electrical engineering will guide and colour the discussion of these technologies.
