Alissa Sputore is currently acting Assistant Manager at the University of Western Australia. Her portfolio includes the provision of library services to teachers, learners and researchers in six faculties, including law, business, arts, architecture and music, spread over four physical library locations. Alissa has had wide and varied experience encompassing law librarianship in top tier law firms, a period at The British Library, and senior roles inside and outside of libraries at two of Australia’s research intensive “Group of Eight” universities.
Skills and Experience include: • Specialised information management with over 15 years’ academic and corporate experience • Management of people, teams, services, budgets and projects • Client engagement to develop and improve information services and systems • Broad IT expertise focussed on information management, e-learning and research technologies • Applied research and analysis in academic and corporate contexts.
Alissa has played an active role in the Australian Library and Information Association and the Australian Law Librarians’ Association and authored a number of conference and journal publications. She will be presenting two papers at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress, 15-21 August 2015, Cape Town, South Africa.
