Dr Jeremy Shaw has a Ph.D. in marine and biological sciences. His principal research interests involve the study of the cellular and organic matrix driven processes of invertebrate biomineralisation.
Dr Shaw’s main field of expertise is in electron microscopy (TEM and SEM), coupled with analytical techniques such as electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and energy-filtered TEM (EFTEM)in biology.
In 2014, Dr Shaw has taken over as lead academic in charge of the CMCAs X-ray microscope facility (also known as micro-CT)
