‘Altmetrics’ (alternative metrics) such as PlumX and Altmetric.com embedded in databases, repositories and publisher websites, can be used to identify and connect with online social networks.

In this session, we will look at some of the strategies to create an effective Social Media presence for yourself, and to connect to the online spaces where you can raise your own profile, and that of your research in the community.
