The research performed by postgraduate research students at UWA is truly innovative and of a quality as high as expected from a world leading institution. STiR (Student Talks in Research) is an opportunity for research students to present a short talk on their research to members of UWA, Industry partners and fellow postgraduates. These talks will be the top presenters of the research students at UWA and aimed at making UWA research and researchers more accessible to potential industry partners.
20 students, chosen from online 1 minute video applications, will be given the opportunity to present their work in 5 minutes to be recorded and in from of potential industry partners relevant to their fields of research. These recorded talks can be used by students and the university to present the work performed at UWA. The best talk will be judged by a panel and the winner will be presented with an opportunity at meeting selected industry partners in order to foster better relationships between industry and university research.
This event will provide the perfect platform for students to present the ground breaking research they undertake here at UWA as well as an opportunity for UWA to present the world class researchers that are trained here.
