Dr Elizabeth Newnham is a Research Fellow at the School of Psychology, UWA, and a Research Associate at the Harvard School of Public Health.
The focus of her work is improving mental health outcomes for children and adolescents affected by complex emergencies and global adversity.
She has published broadly in the fields of global mental health and trauma, and together with her collaborators, has been awarded more than $5 million in grant funding.
Dr Newnham has led research in China, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Hong Kong and Australia, and acted as a consultant to the World Bank. She currently holds an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship.
