Pauline Grierson is and ecosystem ecologist with a current focus on biogeochemistry and dendroclimatology.
Pauline is especially interested in using stable isotope methods to examine ecological processes in arid environments.
Her research integrates across spatial (from microbes to root level to catchment) and temporal scales (diel cycles to centuries and longer), particularly in relation to hydrologic fluxes.
Pauline is Deputy Head of the School of Plant Biology and Director of the West Australian Biogeochemistry Centre. She coordinates the ‘Australian Vegetation’ and ‘Ecosystem Biogeochemistry’ units.
