Dr Siobhan Reid

Siobhan Reid is an Assistant Professor of Research within the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health at UWA. With 10 years experience in 3D biomechanics, her expertise lies in the analysis of human movement for those with disabilities, particularly neuromuscular disorders such as Cerebral Palsy. She is a Lecturer in Paediatric Exercise Rehabilitation at UWA. Siobhan is also involved in the School’s Paediatric Exercise Programs, which offer movement & physical education for children aged 5 to 15 years, who have difficulty learning and performing fundamental movement skills.

Key research

Siobhan’s broad area of interest lies in rehabilitation for those with neurodevelopmental disability and disease. Specifically;

  • Understanding the musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental pathways in those with cerebral palsy.
  • Evidence based practice in the management of children with cerebral palsy.
  • Movement rehabilitation following musculo-skeletal injury/disease.
