David Blair is a professor of physics at the University of Western Australia and the director of the Australian International Gravitational Research Centre.
His work focuses on the methods for the detection of gravitational waves and has developed a niobium wave gravity detector and he developed the first sapphire clock, designed for use in space.
He has won the ANZAAS Medla and the Walter Boas Medal of the Australian Institute of Physics.
